This stubby squid (rossia pacifica) likes to hang out on the ocean floor like their octopus cousins. When they're caught out at night, they appear wide-eyed and transfixed by the bright light. A squid-in-the-headlights. I hope you are also transfixed by this little creature, and that it brings a smile to your face like it did mine!
