This painting holds my boundless desire for a little treat. On a deeper level, it is also the all-too-relatable feeling of wanting what someone else has. After four years of being a full-time artist, I can still struggle with comparison to successful creatives. Although after being accepted into shows, galleries, and organizations such as the Federation of Canadian Artists, I feel like my perspective has shifted. If I truly desire to have the fruit loops of success, I need to keep painting what matters to me, pushing my limits, and to continue applying for opportunities to showcase my work. Being connected to communities has helped me on this journey, and I couldn't have this painting displayed here today without their support. Let's help each other succeed, and share these limitless treats!
