Artistic statement about this piece:

Part of the "Mini Mountain" series of square landscape paintings, all featuring mountains and flowers. This series was created with a limited colour palette, using larger brushes and fewer strokes to create a 'looser' more abstracted realist painting. The challenge was to create as much likeness to the references as possible, as quickly as possible. Capturing the essence and essential parts of what make the scene so beautiful.

Framing:

Comes framed in a white floating frame measuring 13 x 13 x 1.25". Wired and ready to hang. Includes a certificate of authenticity.

Materials:

Acrylic paint (Golden and Liquitex heavy body acrylic).

Stretched canvas (100% medium weight cotton duck canvas, primed with gesso. Kiln dried 0.75 inch thick stretcher bars made of solid wood. Back stapled. Hanging hardware on back with d-ring and wrapped steel wire.)

Archival materials, in order of application: Artist’s loft canvas, Golden and Liquitex acrylic paint, and Golden isolation coat in satin (is not varnished).
